Zanskar is known as the hidden kingdom of Ladakh and in this route you will face extreme off-roading ,water crossing, curve roads, dusts and so on. Since it’s an adventurous motorcycle adventure trip we are not supposed to expect luxury in this region but we get to the core of motorcycle adventure. Mostly our stays will be in Homestays, Guest houses, Hotel and Camps.

Zanskar Bike Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Leh

  • Welcome to Ladakh – extending welcome from Glaciers to the Great Himalayas, Ladakh is a land like no other. Your adventure starts with arrival at Leh Airport from where our representative will receive you and take you to the hotel.
  • We highly recommend you to take a half-day rest to acclimatize yourself with the atmosphere, allow you to settle in and rest up before we start tomorrow to explore stunning landscapes and roads.
  • By evening our supported team leader will meet you at the hotel and brief you about Trip.
  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

Day 2Leh to Potoksar via Sirsir La

  • Post breakfast we will move towards Photoksar.
  • Around 135 km, we have a highway ride which will be very smooth.
  • On the way you get to see Magnetic hill, Sangam point and some villages of Sham valley.
  • After a village called Wanla you will experience off-roading, but don’t worry this patch from Wanla to Photokar will be a warming up session for all the riders.
  • On the way we will cross SIR SIR LA Pass and then we will reach Photoksar.
  • Overnight stay at Home stay at Photoksar.

Day 3Potoksar to Padum via Singe La

  • In the morning after breakfast we will ride towards Padum after doing the War cry slogan of Ladakh Scouts Indian Army ( KIKI SOSO LHAR-GYALO ).
  • On this day you are gonna test your capability and skills of off-roading because 90% of the patch that is from Photoksar to Zangla will be completely off road.
  • On the way we are crossing the Singe la pass as well.
  • From Zangla to Padum the roads are amazingly smooth.
  • Overnight stay in a Guest house at Padum

Day 4Padum Sightseeing

  • In the morning after breakfast we will go for Padum sightseeing.
  • We will go to Saini Monastery first and then we will visit Saini Guru Padma Sambhava statue.
  • Later we will visit Padum market for lunch and then Sheela waterfall.
  • You will get leisure time by afternoon so that you can check Padum market and buy your necessities for the day.
  • Overnight stay at Padum.

Day 5Padum to Purne

  • After breakfast we will leave towards Purne.
  • Enroute we will visit Bardan monastery.
  • This day is going to be interesting. After we reach Purne we will have a two hours trek towards PHUKTAL Monastery.
  • It’s a Buddhist monastery located in the remote Lungnak valley in south-eastern Zanskar, in the Himalayan region of Ladakh. It is one of the only Buddhist Monasteries in Ladakh that can still be reached only by foot.
  • Overnight stay at Purne.

Day 6Purne to Sarchu via Shinku La and Baralacha

  • After breakfast we will leave for Sarchu.
  • Enroute we will go through various water crossings and off roadings that will test your limits.
  • We will ride across Shinkhula pass (16580ft) with amazing sights of the Himalayan ranges.
  • We need to cross Baralacha pass to reach Sarchu.
  • Overnight stay in a camp at Sarchu.

Day 7Sarchu to Leh via Tanglang La

  • Travel distance and travel time ( kms 250/ 08 hrs) approx.
  • Crossing 22 Gata loops, Nakila pass, Lachungla pass and 45 kms of Pang ground which is also called Morey Plains, and on the way you will visit some Nomads in-between.
  • After Morey plains we need to cross Taglang la pass which is at an elevation of 17,480 ft.
  • Crossing some villages of Union territory of Ladakh, finally we will get leh’d.
  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

Day 8Departure to Home

In the morning we will transfer you to the Leh airport to board the flight back to your destination. Trip ends with the Sweet Memories of Ladakh and Zanskar

  • 35 Days before the trip departure 60% of the total cost.
  • 20 Days before the trip departure 80% of the total cost. 
  • 10 Days before the trip departure 100% of the total cost.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations are made before 25 days from the date of travel then 20% of the total trip will be charged. 
  • Cancellations are made between 15 to 20 days from the date of travel then 50% of the total trip will be charged. 
  • Cancellations are made between 5 to 10 days from the date of travel then 70% of the total trip will be charged. 
  • Cancellations are made between 0 to 5 days from the date of travel then 100% of the total trip will be charged.

Refund Policy

  • Refund amount will be processed within 2 week on business days.
  • All applicable refunds will be done in the traveler’s Bank Transfer only.
